Play Queens Puzzle Unlimited free online: original daily boards, unlimited practice, undo and hints that explain the next step. Place one crown in every row, column and lettered region without letting any two crowns touch, even diagonally. This is a region logic puzzle rather than the chess N-Queens problem: distant diagonal crowns are allowed. Choose a compact 6×6 board, a 7×7 classic board or a larger 8×8 puzzle. Every board in the original collection is checked for exactly one solution before it ships. Practice draws from 120 base boards with rotations and reflections, so there is no play limit, though layouts can repeat. The daily 7×7 board uses the same UTC date for everyone. Share a challenge link to give a friend the same board without revealing its solution. Crown placement, X marks, explained hints, unlimited undo during the current run and device-local progress support a thoughtful session without an account, installation or external AI service. The latest 100 moves are retained when you resume a saved game. Region letters and borders make the board readable without relying on color alone.

How to play

  1. Place one crown per row, column and lettered region. Crowns cannot touch, even diagonally; distant diagonals are allowed.
  2. Select Place crown or Mark empty, then tap a cell. Tap it again to remove that mark. Arrow keys move focus; Q places a crown and X marks a cell.
  3. Use Undo or Clear X marks when testing a hypothesis. A striped crown breaks a visible rule.
  4. Ask for an explained hint if stuck. Some hints use a complete look-ahead check and say so explicitly.
  5. Complete today’s shared UTC puzzle, then choose a practice size or share the same board with a friend.
  6. Click inside the game frame before using keyboard controls.
  7. Use fullscreen when the canvas or controls need more room.
